T
he Book & Gift Store sells Buddhist souvenirs and the Venerable Master Hua’s Dharma talks and lectures on Sutras in book, CDs, and tape form. There are also issues of the monthly journal “Vajra Bodhi Sea.” The publications not only spread the Buddha’s teachings, but also promote cultural exchange between East and West.

DRBA’s Buddhist Text Translation Society (BTTS) began publishing Sutras in English in 1972. Presently, there are more than 200 volumes of Sutras, the Venerable Master Hua’s general explanations of Sutras, Buddhist literature, and children books in English, French, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Japanese. Sutras and Dharma talks in bilingual (Chinese and English) editions have been published as well.

D. The Monthly Journal—Vajra Bodhi Sea:

This is a monthly journal of Orthodox Buddhism which has been published by the DRBA since 1970. Each issue contains recent translations of the Buddhist Canon by the BTTS. Included in each issue are a biography of a great Patriarch of Buddhism from the ancient past, sketches of the lives of contemporary monastic and lay-followers around the world, articles on practice, and other material. The journal is bilingual (Chinese and English).
