TAO
Words and music by former Bhikshuni Heng Yin (Loni Baur)
          Heaven's image shining clear
Now on earth its shape appears
            Thunder, lightning, clouds on high
Sun and moon move through the sky.
Now the dark and now the light
Now the day and now the night
            Summer, winter, fall and spring
            Mother of ten thousand things.
                      Goodness, like water, flows
To places people will not go
Close in its nature so they say
Wise see it, call it wisdom
Kind see it, call it kindness
People do not know of it
            But use it every day.
Far beyond the earth and sky
            There remains a final "why"
But those who speak they do not know
It's yours in silence to behold.
                      Heaven's image shining clear
Now on earth its shape appears
But those who speak they do not know
It's yours in silence to behold.
